Acrylic LED Lamp

This acrylic lamp is a present that I made for my little cousin for his bar mitzvah. It is an acrylic lamp that has multiple interchangeable inserts of different characters that are illuminated by a strip of LED lights. The inserts all contain something my cousin likes such as sports teams and players as well as works from artists and a custom insert with his initials and nickname.

The Inserts

  • KAWS x Storm Trooper Bear

    This insert is a KAWS bear crossed with a storm trooper. KAWS is a famous artist that my cousin is fond of.

  • Steph Curry

    This is Steph Curry, a famous basketball player my cousin is a big fan of. He plays in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors

  • Patrick Kane

    This is Patrick Kane. He is a famous hockey player that my cousin is a fan of that plays for the Chicago Blackhawks.

  • Ja Morant 1

    This is Ja Morant. Ja is a famous NBA player my cousin is a fan of that plays point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies.

  • Ja Morant 2

    This is another insert of a different design of NBA player Ja Morant.

  • Chicago Blackhawks

    This is the logo for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are my cousin’s favorite Hockey Team in the NHL.

  • Chicago Bulls

    This is the logo for the Chicago Bulls, my cousin’s favorite basketball team in the NBA.

  • NES Customized

    This is the most personalized insert I made. It has my cousin’s initials “NES” made of letters that have shadows of hockey players on them, as hockey is my cousin’s favorite sport. This insert also ahs my cousin’s nickname “savage singer” below his initials.

Flashing Color Changing Mode

This is the mode of the LED where it flashes and switches colors every flash, cycling through all of the colors. The speed of the flashes can also be changed with the LED remote.

Slow Color Changing Mode

This is one of the LED modes where it slowly cycles through all of the colors it has slowly fading from one to the next.

The Base

I designed this base in Fusion 360 and has my cousin's initials on the front. The bottom contains my initials and the date of the bar mitzvah. The base also includes a place to input an LED light strip.
