Other Personal Designs
This is the place where I put all my other projects that don’t fall into the categories of the other pages. This includes things from metal work to acrylic.
Steel Ace
This was my first project on the water jet in the Tulane MakerSpace. The water jet is a jet that consists of water and some abrasive particles that is able to cut through strong materials such as steel. I designed this metal ace myself and use the water jet to cut it out of a steel sheet. After that, I used the blast cabinet to sandblast the ace in order to give it the nice matte look.

Lathe-Made Screw
This screw was made as part of my training to use the CNC Lathe in the Tulane MakerSpace. This piece started as just a large steel cylinder and the lathe was used to carve out all of the different features.
Fire Pit 1
This was another quarantine project of mine. I cleared out an area of grass in my backyard to make sure there was no danger of any fire spreading. Then I searched around the woods near my house and found good-sized rocks and brought them back to the area I cleared out. After that, I arranged the rocks in a nice circle that would hold the fire from spreading and put some chairs around the area. My family and I have enjoyed some nice warm fires at this fire pit since it was built.
Laser-Cut Acrylic
These are some personal designs that I laser cut out of acrylic. I laser cut these designs while playing around with and trying to learn the use of the laser cutters in the Columbia MakerSpace as they were slightly different than the ones I was used to at the Tulane MakerSpace. The design on the left would eventually be customized and turned into a Christmas ornament to be given as a gift.
Fire Pit 2
This was a fire pit that I built in my backyard during my senior year of college at Tulane. It is made out of bricks and cinderblocks that I found around my block along with some large brick slabs that make up the base.
